Life and leisure skills
ABA also involves building essential life skill repertoires that occur without problem behaviors, reduce the need for supports or accommodations and increase independence in the home, school or community. Learning a variety of life and leisure skills that apply to a variety of areas of life are essential for independence, at home and in the community.
Research shows that learners make the most progress when everyone in their life has an understanding of the principles of behavior analysis, how we learn and understand how the relationship between the learner and his environment affects their interests motivation and behavior.
Little ACERS program
A.C.E. offers an intensive , comprehensive , early intervention program for children 3-6 yrs of age based on the principles and methods of ABA and using the verbal behavior approach to language. The program is supervised by BCBA's with staff that receives continual extensive training.
A.C.E. uses the VB-MAPP, ABLLS, Essential for Living, and the IGLR. Assessments can be done whether your learner is a client or you just need an outside assessment as a second opinion or need a report to share with schools or other therapists that see our child.
Our clinical staff has years of experience working in the school system. We understand the demands, time restraints and challenges. A.C.E. offers assessments both in the clinic and school environment.
